Reclining
Trying out our new sofa, which is really cool because it reclines. To my mother's surprise, I requested pink socks this morning. She didn't know I already know a color name.

Is it spring?
We are so happy that the weather is warming up (into the 50s this week!) we put on our new spring clothes.

Bureaucracy
Recently my mom took me to this big building to do the paperwork to get me an American birth certificate. I guess she thinks it's important.
This sheriff was "serving" me, but all I got was some papers and a plastic badge. I did get to show her my baobao (baby) though. I take her everywhere (and her two little sisters too).
Gongxi Facai!
Haaaaapy New Year!
I went with my family to a banquet in Chinatown to meet other families with kids from China! Would you believe I was the youngest (and my parents say the cutest)? I guess people thought this outfit my mom bought in China was cute, but all I wanted to do was run around and eat rice. Num num.
Aunt Linda came in all the way from DC to spend the weekend with us (besides Chinese new year she is consulting on our house remodel). I can say her name perfectly - Lin-da. Sorry we didn't catch any pictures of her though.
I've learned to speak some Chinese now. I can say xiexie (thanks) and zaijian (goodbye), point to my bizi (nose), and ask for a juzi (orange).
I also know to say "sawee" (sorry) when I bump into someone, "do-it" when I want to brush my own teeth or peel my own orange (they taste much better that way), and "shuwa" when I want to eat some of mom's cereal.

More Video from Arizona
Rikki had lots of fun with Steve's hat...and we got some souvenirs from the Musical Instrument Museum...
January
Sorry to say not much of January made it to the blog - though we had lots going on and even shot some video. (Actually this one is from December -- testing to see whether it will post...)
Poor groundhog
I don't think he will even make it out today.
Here's a view of our terrace for those inquiring about the weather.
