She's an American ... almost

If you've been keeping up with the blog posts (www.ourluckyoptimist.blogspot.com), you know that our visa "appointment" for Rikki aka Pan Pan was today, June 7. Our agency goes to the U.S. Consulate on our behalf, we just had to wait in our hotel.

Well... we celebrated today, because everything apparently went through. They have apparently determined based on her prior work and marital history, lack of criminal record, etc. (yes, we had to answer all of these questions) that she is eligible to be an American.

All we have to do is take an oath tomorrow, then receive the visa on Wednesday, and fly out on Thursday. Within about two months, she receives a certificate of citizenship.

To celebrate, she took a couple of victory walks (holding our hands) halfway across the hotel dining room. Yes, she is really getting into it. And here is our victory photo! Plus a few more from the last few days...
