the way. She walked quite some distance, probably the farthest ever,
including across a major street (okay, it was closed for the Taste,
but we are still counting it...)
We are finally getting perfect summer weather - eighties and sunny and
not miserably humid - after a series of thunderstorms and even
apparently a tornado (only the third to hit Chicago in many years).
Because we have lots of windows, we've had quite a view of it all.
There is also a lightning rod right outside our window, but thankfully
it hasn't seen any activity.
As I write this, Miss Rikki Pan Pan is in her crib falling asleep. She
always makes a sucking sound when going to sleep. We have Bach cello
suites playing, which seems to be the most reliable sleeping music.
